Get dermal fillers and lip fillers in London at an award winning, professional, modern dental clinic in Chelsea.
At our clinic, dermal fillers are injected into your skin to soften lines, folds and wrinkles and to also give volume to areas which have lost their support. We offer lip fillers in London. Different types of dermal fillers can also be used for facial recontouring to improve facial features and profiles.
Which dermal filler should I choose?
There are many different types of dermal fillers and many different brands. At The Wellington Clinic we only use the top brands which have undergone many years of testing and research.
We mainly work with the TEOXANE TEOSYAL and JUVÉDERM® VYCROSS ranges for the outstanding properties that they hold. Most types of dermal filler are composed of Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid naturally exists within the skin giving volume, shape, hydration and elasticity.
Hyaluronic acid has minimal risk of reactions and is more readily accepted by the body than other silicone or collagen fillers.
What happens during the procedure?
For certain dermal filler procedures topical anaesthetic is first applied and left to numb the skin for 20-30 minutes.
A numbing injection can be given to numb the area further although this is rarely required. The dermal filler is then injected into the area required using a very fine needle or blunt ended cannula.
Results can be seen immediately after dermal filler treatments and generally last up to 12 months or longer.
Which parts of the face should I treat with dermal filler?
Dermal fillers can be used to treat different areas of the face, including the lips, chin, jaw, cheeks, forehead and nose, and are ideal for dealing with specific issues such as loss of volume, deep lines, tear troughs, and jowls.
The different treatment types are explained in detail below and prices can be found on the Face Prices page. Some methods are more appropriate for some people than others. Dr Marjan Goodacre takes care to assess this and discuss it with you.
