Dear Friends and Patients

Thank you to everyone for your loyalty and support over the past 11 years, even during these uncertain times. Our thoughts go out to all of you who have been affected by this unprecedented situation.

We have kept The Wellington Clinic open for as long as possible while it was safe to do so. We know how important a role it plays to you and the local community. Due to the unfolding situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19), we’re very sad to have to let you know we will temporarily close with immediate effect.

As one of the leading dental clinics in the UK we have a unique team of specialists, university tutors and medically qualified staff with access to London hospital colleagues experiencing the front line who report to us daily. We have not taken this decision lightly and need to convey the serious situation that London hospitals are already facing.

COVID-19 represents an uncertain challenge that could generate large numbers of patients in a short period of time. The latest figures show we are currently on the same trajectory as Italy and the UK population must act quickly and sensibly. There will not be an ideal solution, so we must all work together to solve the challenge.

The new guidance is now incompatible with maintaining a routine dental service. We all need to play our part in reducing the spread of this virus and despite the huge financial toll this will create for us, the safety of our patients, staff and the population at large must be the priority.

If you have a need for urgent dental care:
•    Dental infections and associated swellings
•    Severe dental and facial pain; that is pain that cannot be controlled by the patient with analgesia (painkillers)
•    Fractured teeth or tooth with painful nerve exposure

Please contact the clinic preferably by email: info@thewellingtonclinic.com and we will endeavour to provide a solution for you.

Orthodontic treatment: Anyone who has already commenced orthodontic treatment will be contacted as soon as possible with advice.

We urge you to please look after yourself and your families and prevent the spread to others by strictly adhering to social distancing. Please do not mix with anyone other than your immediate household and only go out if absolutely necessary.

We will be in contact by email as soon as the situation improves and will keep the website updated or follow us on Instagram.

Yours sincerely

Dr Nicholas Goodacre & Dr Marjan Goodacre
