Teeth whitening at our London clinic in Chelsea is a completely safe and pain free process which not only removes stains and discolouration but actually whitens the enamel of the teeth significantly.
There are two main types of teeth whitening services that are provide at our clinic in Chelsea, London.

Immediate white: In chair teeth whitening / Laser teeth whitening  / In Office teeth Whitening
The in-chair teeth whitening or immediate whitening takes approximately 1 hour. This system uses a strong teeth whitening gel combined with a light also known as ‘laser teeth whitening’ the light activates the whitening gel to achieve an amazing result in a very short period of time.
The procedure involves the application of a liquid material to the gums which hardens under a dental curing light. The rest of the mouth is isolated in such a way that only the teeth are exposed. This then allows the teeth whitening gel to be placed without it coming in contact with the gums or lips. The light is then used to activate the whitening gel for 15 minutes. This is then removed and repeated usually a total of 3 times. The whitening result is immediate and usually whitens the teeth by up to 8 shades.
There is usually no or very little sensitivity to cold after the procedure for up to 3 days.  The whitening can then be further enhanced using a home whitening system if desired.

Deep White
This whitening is used at home. The dentist will take extremely accurate impressions of the teeth and bespoke trays are made on site the same day in our dental laboratory. This ensures that the teeth whitening gel is held in close contact to the teeth and also prevents any leakage of the gel into the mouth.
The whitening gel is usually worn overnight while the patient sleeps as the gel is effective for 6 hours. This whitening takes 10-14 nights to achieve an amazing result but is guaranteed by The Wellington Clinic to achieve at least a B1 shade which is the lightest natural tooth shade. Patients can also continue to use the gel on their teeth for an even whiter result.
The Deep White system achieves a long lasting result which lasts for 18 months to 2 years. After this patients only need to use ‘top up’ treatments which involves 2-3 nights wear. Alternatively some patients who want to maintain a ‘celebrity smile’ use the whitening gel 1 night every month.

Warning:
This procedure should only be performed by a dentist. The whitening gel used is very strong and can cause damage to the gums and teeth if used incorrectly. It is a criminal offence in the UK to perform these procedures by anyone other than a dentist or an appropriately qualified hygienist with further training.
Please note that we have seen damage to teeth and gums has been caused by inappropriately trained individuals or companies selling whitening kits direct to the public or providing teeth whitening services in shopping centres or salons. Some damage has even led to teeth requiring root canal treatments or discolouring as hair highlighting products have even been used.
Non dental kits sold direct to the public often contain heat mouldable trays. These are simply not accurate enough for safe home whitening. They result in leakage of the gel or dilution by saliva which just results in a poor whitening result and often swallowing of the gel. They are also supplied with weaker gels for this reason.
